Dr. Helen Tsao
Background
Dr. Helen Tsao was born in Alabama but grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She moved to Houston to attend Rice University and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Biological Sciences. She decided to pursue dentistry because of its unique blend of science, artistry, and service to the community. She graduated from the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston (UTHSC) and worked as a general dentist in the greater Houston area for several years before returning to school to pursue a specialization in endodontics. She graduated with a Master of Science in Endodontics from UTHSC.
Dental Style
Dr. Tsao served as part-time clinical faculty at the University of Texas School of dentistry while also working in private practice and enjoys teaching and sharing knowledge with her colleagues. During her time in academia, she focused her research on regenerative endodontics and believes that it is important to help patients retain their natural dentition. She believes in lifelong learning and is constantly looking to learn more about cutting-edge technologies in dentistry.
Fun Facts
Dr. Tsao is involved with several organizations including the American Academy of Endodontics and the American Dental Association. During her free time, Dr. Tsao enjoys photography, playing the piano, sewing, hiking, traveling, and trying out new and exotic foods.
Dr. Sean LaRue
Background
Dr. Sean LaRue was born and raised in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Upon graduating from high school, he moved to the United States to attend the University of Texas at Austin where he graduated cum laude and earned a degree in Civil Engineering. From there he moved to Houston to pursue a career in dentistry where he attended the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. After four years of private practice as a general dentist, he decided to pursue his passion for Endodontics and returned to the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston, where he completed his residency program and earned his Endodontics Certificate and Master of Science in Dentistry.
Dental Style
Dr. LaRue enjoys working with his patients to try to achieve their personal dental goals and improve their quality of life. He particularly takes pleasure in helping patients that have had negative dental experiences in their past and working with them to become more comfortable in the dental chair, in order to better include oral care in their lives.

In his spare time, Dr. LaRue enjoys playing the guitar, soccer, hiking, and traveling with his wife.
